ChrisCamp. took his first steps in music in the early 90's. As "Beat Creator Chris" he programmed his first hip hop beats on various drum machines and an Amiga. The integration of samples on an AKAI-S1000 followed and the first rap productions were at the start. With an Atari-ST, more analog synthesizers and the equipment kept growing; thus ChrisCamp. record his first demo productions. ChrisCamp. discovered his passion for electronic music and so produced his first acid tracks with a ROLAND TB-303 and a TR-909. The first release "More" appeared on "World of delirium". Other techno productions followed. Now Chris wanted to reach more audience and so the first live performances came. (Palace/Bingen). He made contacts and the "CATERPILLAR" project was born. The first vinyl was released on "Phuture Wax" and the self-produced animated video was even featured in the show "Housefrau" (Mate Gallig) on VIVA TV. With many other ideas in mind, Chris started a new project: "CAT-1" He produced some crisp acid tracks on Andy Düx label "Overdrive". Some remixes for "Karotte" followed, even for "Taucher" and "Andy Tex Jones". The breakthrough came with How do you feel and Lost in 303. To this day, CAT-1 has stayed true to electronic music and continues to produce in his infamous minimalist style...
